Bear Lake [part four]

We had family pictures done in Bear Lake, of the whole group.  I love that we get these done every three years at the reunion.  Marc and Betty pay for the photographer and pay for a big picture that is framed of everyone and given to us to put in our homes.  My kids love looking at it and pointing out who everyone is.

I love how the pictures turned out!  Shari was in charge and did a great job coming up with what colors to wear and where to get them done.

cute Aleks

After family pictures we drove up to ...... some lake, that I can't remember what it's called.  It took about 45 minutes to get to the top and then was a 1/2 mile hike to the lake.  It was gorgeous up there.

So pretty!  Joe got in and swam across the whole thing (and back) and John and Shari got in too.  John eventually convinced me to get in -- it was freezing (you can see the snow on the ground still)!  It took my breath away the whole time I was in it, but the kids thought it was great that we got in.

It was such a great week!  I really had ZERO complaints about anything and just really loved being together as a family and playing in the lake.  I'm so grateful to be married in to such an amazing family.

Bear Lake [part three]

July 5th, 6th, and 7th

The majority of our time in Bear Lake was spent on the lake, just perfect! Joe and Lisa were in charge of the reunion this year and did a great job organizing it all.  They rented different things for us each day to play on in the lake and seriously had the best week!  Looking through these pictures makes me wish we could relive that week.

Lots of time on the boat.  The kids loved being on the boat, especially Brooklyn.  She loved being the flag girl, riding on the tube with her cousins, eating popsicles, etc.

Cutest baby on the planet in my opinion.

and the cutest flag girl too.

The house we all stayed in was awesome.  It was HUGE.  Every family had at least their own bedroom and bathroom, some with more.  There was a theater movie in the basement where a lot of the kids hung out.  This picture is blurry, but here is Brooklyn with Sadie.  I don't think Brooklyn ever left Sadie or Bella's side.

Tuesday some of us went to Minnetonka Cave.  It was cool!  I don't remember the specifics about the cave, but it was nice change from the heat outside.  We hiked down into the cave (that's why most are wearing jackets) and back out.  The tour was about an hour and a half.  The kids were troopers and walked almost the entire thing (except Remmy near the end).  I carried Kate the whole way in the wrap.

the only picture I got inside

After we went in to town and got the famous Bear Lake raspberry shakes.  And yumm!!  They did not disappoint (despite the look on Jake's face here).  This was my first time in Bear Lake and I LOVED it.

our backyard - gorgeous

Lots of time playing in the sand when we weren't on the boat, in the water, or on wave runners.

 They have a good life.

waiting for the boat to come back and pick us up

This "hot dog" thing was fun.  It fit a lot of people and we got thrown off a few times.  We only had this for one morning because it ended up getting a hole in it.  Brooklyn and I are 2nd and 3rd from the front.

Remmy loved Uncle Curtis who kept her well hydrated with juice boxes and popsicles.

I love this picture of John.
